First time on this stretch. After a rather disappointing recce of the shallower top section (the Elms), where there were hardly any swims, we had a nice chat with the very helpful Monty and settled on a couple of swims further downstream. They looked absolutely beautiful and very fishy. Unfortunately it was very quiet and despite me moving swims a couple of times it was a bit of a struggle. Mike managed an early barbel and some chub and I eked out a couple of barbel late in the day. A lovely stretch of river and will definitely return when hopefully the fish are a bit hungrier!

Arrived to a falling river level with conditions looking perfect, shame the fish didn't feel the same..!
We fished 6 swims on the downstream stretch using pellet feeder and boilie hook baits, most fish were taken after 4pm. Barbel to 8lb 4oz and chub to 4lb 10oz. A really nice well managed fishery with excellent access throughout.

A great new fishery which is being developed further, thanks to Monty and his companions. Looking forward to returning next year.

Another difficult day with the river too low, a bit of floating weed and an absence of feeding fish. One small barbel, 1 decent eel and a nice chub was all we had to show for the day. Rain needed to flush things through. There are many worse places to be on a nice day though!

Only 3 small chub and 4 dace caught, probably due to poor decisions on my part. Conditions looked good. A useful learning experience on a well managed beat.

Really enjoyed our trip to the section of the Wye. Nice access down to the river with steps and handrails. Monty was a great help and advice. My son had a nice chub of 5.6 which was a cracking fish. We had barbel to 7.8. Will return to fish again in the future.

Really looked after and we'll run beat. Met the bailiff who was friendly and advised us where to fish. Really wasn't our day. Tried all the swims and just couldn't get the barbel to feed, just picked up the odd chub. Will be back for another try.

So good to fish on a well kept fishery, it made the day so much more enjoyable. Myself (CM) and my colleague (GW) caught steadily throughout the day and we finished with 15 Barbel between us, which included two at just over 10lb and GW with the fish of the day at 11lb 9oz.
All in all a great days fishing.
