Caught 3, missed a few myself or they missed the fly lol. Very nice location and feels like I should have done better but at least caught something

Lovely beat. We only fished for a few hours in the afternoon. Teaching my wife and daughter how to cast! Saw several rises and I think we would have had a successful day if we had focused on fishing (catching!).

We will definitely return.

Lost several trout, one felt like quite a decent fish - over a pound easily, but it threw the hook after a few seconds. Plenty of takes on the dry fly but failed to hook any successfully. Down stream wind made casting difficult. A lone otter was making its way up the bottom of the beat at dusk. Will be back, excellent beat.

Caught some really nice trout up to 1. 5lb.
All trout were caught euro nymph fishing on pink tags.

BEWARE OF THE COWS, if you park in the field and there are cows present, don't stray to far from your vehicle, I did today and the cows licked my car to death damaging some of the bodywork. This will be reported to the fishing passport head office.

First time on this beat.lots of shad about, and not many trout. Open stretch that’s not the place to be when windy, lovely pools,a bit of everything, easy wading,no fences to get over, good access, parking enclosure is a joke tbh, would just fit in there in my discovery but would be able to get out due to fence (barbed wire ),so parked next to it,only sheep in the field so not to concern, but cows have been about,as the like to scratch on vehicles and will cause serious damage. All methods worked, euro nymphing, down and across, only missed 2 on drys, cold wind kept them down.
Enough water for 2 anglers to be busy all day,4x4 is handy as the middle to lower is best for trout fishing as you can drive half way next to river.
Would definitely return to this beat.

We battled the wind all day and saw very few rises. Alas no fish and retired early.

Very pleasant day if a bit too windy for me. Nothing rising so default position is a couple of Endrick spiders. All fish caught in one area just below the pylons where the river bends and narrows before the island. Managed to achieve a first by catching a shad. Beware the route to the enclosure from the gate as you need to keep to the river edge bank. I parked and stayed by the gate and as a result walked a bit more and started at the upstream limit. Wading good and not slippery.

Excellent day - in the end. Got only one fish up to 5pm, then from about 7pm for 2 hours there was a pretty consistent hatch, and rise, to medium olives. Got fish of 15, 16, 18 (2.5lbs) and 20 (3lbs) inches on a medium upwing thing like a Hendrickson. It was gratifying to get two big fish, which went like a rocket, after being broken in the same place by two, two weeks ago. This time I was ready, and had increased the tippet from 6x to 5x.

A good fish of around 2.5lbs taken on a deeply fished PTN at the tail of a pool, and 2 others on a dry - both around 1.5lbs.
Healthy fish, all safely returned.
