Enjoyable couple of hours fishing.
Not a great deal of fly water for salmon fishing at this height (v low). Only really a couple of flicks.
Spent an enjoyable few hours nymphing for trout, one caught c 1lb and one lost.

Bright, sunny, difficult conditions. Found a few rising fish on far channel nr parking area. Managed to put them down pretty quickly! Only had a few hours and nothing caught. Did see a salmon jump, and loads of lovely bird life which compensated for the lack of trout.

No dice with trouts. Not even a tag. 1 trout jumped. Plenty of salmon running up the shallow streams between the stones, some of them clustering (4-5) by the bank pools, seemed busy, certainly weren't interested in my trout flies, and very spooky. Nice valley, lovely nature, be ready for your car to be licked by cows.
Fishing Passport Note : Please use the parking enclosure. Stock may be present in the field and can damage vehicles.

Incredibly hot day and we stopped at 3.30. Managed two trout on small dries. There was the odd Mayfly but we didn’t try them as we didn’t see any being taken. We liked the beat. Would fish again and hopefully next time a herd of bullocks won’t come and lick the car!

A very hot and sunny day. The river was low (as expected) but moving strongly across the shallows. I didn't catch sight of a fish let alone have a bite! But I can think of far worse ways of spending a few hours. I found a pair of sunglasses that are now hanging on the car enclosure.
