River was in good condition, weather conditions made the fishing challenging. From midday onwards, during the warmer interludes, there were 2 or 3 sparse hatches which in turn induced the fish to briefly come to the top of the water.
Two of the fish listed above were small salmon parr.
Two of the trout were taken on small dry flies, the remainder of the fish were all taken on small gold head nymphs.

7 Trout, 7 Grayling, 2 Other

The trout were caught just before midday on the dry during a brief hatch of Olives. The wind was cold and also made made casting difficult at times blowing straight into our faces throughout the day.
The o/s grayling were taken on ptn, all fish were returned.
Thanks to the booking office, seamless process as always.

Took a punt on the upper river as fish had been caught and seen in this area. However despite near perfect conditions nothing touched or seen. Lovely water here though and I will crack it this year.

Hail, rain, wind, freezing.... No fish caught but enjoyed the scenery.

Good to return to this beat, but though the river was in good condition, no fish seen and nothing caught

Bright for much of the day, but the wind was very strong, gusty and cold. It made the last couple of days seem quite balmy in comparison! The LDO hatch I had hoped for never materiised and I spent much of the day bumping heavy nymphs along the bottom. But to no avail. Another blank day, but a very lovely place to spend it and one to which I shall definitely want to return. Looks like the weather may improve next week by which time I shall be back at work. Still, it makes a change from "You should have been here last week"!

Bright sun, cold, strong wind, water low and clear.
A few olives hatched mid afternoon. Saw no fish, caught no fish.
