An early start at llyn frongoch paid dividends with a half pound brownie and a 1&1/4 lb rainbow (both returned). by lunchtime the fish were locked into hatching dragonflies so I returned home, happy with my visit to mid wales

fished llyn rhosgoch and caught a nice brownie 1lb 3/4 (returned) then in the afternoon dropped down to llyn blaenmelindwr and caught a 9oz fish. this lake was quite boggy just now so beware.

Another tough morning on Rhosrhydd - 1 fish but very few fish showing in poor conditions with no breeze and very bright. Drove over the Blaenmelindwr in the afternoon - again nothing in the flat calm. Tried Llyn Syfrydrin for a couple of hours and found fish in the ripple with more fish from the gate to the far end of the lake pulling wet flies - saved the day!
