We fished Cwm Dwythwch. 3 small brown trout caught and released, less than 8 inches.
All caught on a similar wet march brown spider.
No larger fish seen and very limited rising. I got the sense the larger fish were still deep.
We did see a chap spinning with some kind of weighted lure, casting 50 yards.

Nil return. Wild weather made casting almost impossible. I tried for an hour then called it a day.

Conditions wet and windy. Used Teal and Black, Mallard and Claret and Kate McLaren with pretty equal success between them.

Heavy rain conditions, fished suspender buzzer and buzzers on floating line.
No fish seen to rise, there was a prolific hatch of small grey winged flies in the lake edges.

Very early in the season and no sign of trout moving in the margins. It was a windy day, too, so casting was challenging. I used a deep wet fly (leech type lure) but had no takes on either the lower or upper llyn. Nevertheless, on my first visit to this beautiful location, I had a delightful day and will visit again.

Beautiful lakes, beautiful scenery. I think I caught around 8 brownies all on dries.

Used a variety of spinners. Water was clear. Fish were very active, feeding at the surface. Saw a couple of trout follow my spinner but ultimately didn't catch any.
