Had a blank. I was fishing for only a short time before torrential rain stopped play!

5 fish including one of about 3/4lb from below cronkley bridge. Missed about 7 million takes on a kinkhammer, not sure it was right. Beautiful setting, exciting fishing, scary wading!

Fished between Widdy Bank and Cronkley bridge, had 7 brownies up to 10" and lost a fair few on nymphs and drys. Quite a few fish rising in the flats despite a chilly downstream wind. Very enjoyable the scenery is worth the ticket price alone.

Ideal fishing conditions, even the wind was blowing upstream, which never happens. In the afternoon there was a huge hatch of small black flies, and the fish were responding. Missed loads of takes but did manage four nice sized trout, plus lost one much better fish when my leader knot failed.

Fished the section above Dent Bank. Conditions were favourable with overcast skies and light winds, but there was not much in the way of fly life, and only a few fish were rising. Caught 3 trout and lost another 3, mostly to elk hair sedge patterns.
