Water was reading 17.8 degrees when we got there this morning. My friend had a nice grayling on a klinkhammer and I caught a small trout on a pheasant tail nymph.

Fishing for trout and grayling but caught small 8” salmon on Gold bead shrimp pattern fly. Returned unharmed.
Cloudy with sunny intervals. River looked good . several fish topping , one or two of good size - trout? salmon?

Access to the river was not easy. Very over grown from path. Made fishing locations limited. It would be good if the pools were sign posted from the path with a map sent as part of the booking. Like done on the Ure by Swinton Estate
