Lovely day fishing the lower beat. River level lowish on Brecon gauge, weather overcast in the main with some periods of sun.
Four wbt to the net each, the biggest just over 2lb. Two fish took green and silver perdigons while euro nymphing. The other fish all to small dry flies (bwo, dynamite harry, iron blue dun) cast up stream. In addition, we both had several fish hooked and lost after demonstrations of acrobatics from the fish. As usual the wildlife added to the day - including red kites, widgeon and little owls. Thanks to Harry for putting us onto a great (less often fished) fishing spot.

A very picturesque beat and lovely water to fish. Very few fish moving, even at dark, in spite of a prodigious insect hatch - suspect the recent very hot weather is to blame here.

Cold, wet and windy. Very accessible beat all round. Plenty of variety. Given the cold and wet conditions there was a reasonable amount of fly life - yellow mays, ldo's, blue duns. 4 wbt caught and returned. All between 12" and 15". Two taken on dries, two on nymphs. Given the conditions (10c / 18mph easterly wind) we went home happy.

Lovely beats fished on Glanusk, and Mike the Ghille providing some useful guidance at the start of the day. Plenty of fish rising but they were challenging to fool. Two trout to the net and a very big one lost just at the net.

Overcast, no rain. River level good and clear.
Fished the lower beat in the morning. Sporadic rising fish but tricky to figure out what they were taking ... In the end most interest achieved from small dry flies (bwo, iron blue dun and dhe). 3 fish to 1.5lb landed on dry fly from The Little Stream. Two others hooked and lost while euro nymphing. Fished above the bridge in the afternoon and into the evening. Lots of sport. Several missed takes, three fish hooked and lost, and one to the net. Lovely beat, very welcoming. Varied water and lots of wildlife to add to the enjoyment.

Just 3 hours before return to London. Nothing moving until midday rise. 3 landed - 1 a very decent size. One more lost. All to a fairly innocuous GRHE

Caught one, lost 4! They took March Brown emergers and Olive Jinglies. Superb fishing, fantastic beat, thank you.
