Difficult day with cool, northerly wind. Lots of olives about but few fish rising. Fish caught on a variety of methods.

Disappointing results on what looked like a nice piece of water. The problem was, there are few obvious looking spots, the river is very big ( 60 to 80 yards wide ) but it is all 1 to 3 feet deep all over. The bed is all made up of football sized rocks so the surface is all bumpy and fast flowing. I don't recomend parking at bottom of beat because you have a 1/2 mile difficult walk to get to any fish able water ! The fish I did catch were also very small.
