River running very low and clear, tricky conditions during the day for barbel. But soon as that light dropped the barbel got on the feed, making for some great fishing. Lovely place to spend the day. The fish were in great condition from this area.

5 Barbel, 3 Chub

Pretty tough going today, but left happy after catching my first ever Barbel of 5.2lb. It was a very cold start to the day and water much clearer than when I fished here a couple of days ago. All the Chub were in the 3-4 ib bracket and all taken on trotted meat, including the barbel. Couldn't get anything on the feeder today. All fish caught between 1 to 3pm

Lovely beat, good access right to the river, though getting down the banks to the swims was a bit of a challenge for an oldun like me. Hope to come again when I get the opportunity.

1 Barbel, 5 Chub

First time fishing the Wye and had a good day with 17 chub to both feeder and trotting tactics. 9 of the chub were 3lb plus with my best being 4.1lb. Probably didn't help the fishing, but really nice to see a family group of 3 otters swimming along the opposite bank for about 20-mins around midday.

ZERO fish and we got both cars stuck due to some rain falling whilst fishing there. The track 100% is not suitable for none 4x4 when any amount of rains falls so do not drive down to the river! We paid the farmer £25 each for towing us out so it was a very expensive BLANK lol

No 4x4 necessary but the grass can get long and after rain, vehicle access to the river bank is not guaranteed. Please consider rain forecast before deciding to park riverside and use your own judgement. If you have to park at the entrance to the fishery there is an approx. 400m walk to the river

Fished from 3pm to 5pm teaching my better half how to trot a float using a centrepin. Great beat for wading. All chub caught on meat.

3 anglers. Very good day. Biggest barbel 7lb. Biggest chub 3lb. Lots of action but a lot of small chub.

11 Barbel, 25 Chub

A fantastic beat with excellent access, it is a very quiet and secluded beat in stunning surroundings. The river was very low and clear so I expected the fishing to be difficult. I did manage to winkle out a few barbel up to around the 7lb mark and plenty of plump chub. All the fish came to standard feeder tactics. Can't wait to come back.
