We started off under the tree and sat watching 2 x tips not moving for 2 hours. after moving to the 2nd swim had a better result. Caught steadily, but slow throughout the day, with 3 Barbel between 3 & 6 lbs and 7 chub, with a couple around the 5lb mark, luncheon meat, krill pellets, source boilies and pellets, all caught, it was a day of changing baits that kept the day active.

With the river being low and gin clear this made for tricky conditions, but the chub were obliging, and backed up with some cracking dace on the stick float..

Some great fishing to be had on this small stretch of the wye. Had consistent bites from the chub through the morning , afternoon and into the evening. 11 chub for myself ranging from 2lb to over 4lb and a good sized Barbel at last light. My friend had 6 chub to over 4lb. Swims are steep not sure it’s suitable for people who aren’t as physically able but that didn’t bother us. Beautiful spot on a very peaceful stretch of the river. No noise from the outside world and some fantastic fishing to be had given you spend the time working out where to fish and are prepared to move about.

River low and clear as expected but it didn't stop us catching some Chub trotting corn through the deeper holes. Small but nice stretch with good access , we will be back!

River was very very low and clear, not many spots to choose from really most were too high making you clearly visible. Very slow going couldn’t see any fish on the stretch upon arrival. Fished gripper feeder with dumbell boilies. Managed two chub around 2lb. Wouldn’t book this beat again. Good vehicle access but the swims need sorting access was steep, steps have worn away and was somewhat treacherous getting to the water. Fished the first two swims all day.

River very low and clear, fished early morning until about 1100 when conditions became too bright.
All fish caught on trotted stick float with bait of sweetcorn and castors, loose fed sweetcorn and castors.
Quite a nice beat albeit short. I think with more water on it will produce better results.

River very low. Fished for three hours in the morning only then sun too strong to warrant any further effort. Chub, dace, perch all to trotted sweetcorn and castors/ hempseed. Although a very short beat, with another foot of water on, some colour and cloud cover, potentially could produce better results.
