20.9 water temp on arrival and a degree higher at lunchtime. Fished the last two swims down on the island but the big chub shoal wasn't there. One fished a hemp and pellet black cap, the other the float with hemp and meat and we each had 12 chub. Had a good look at the swims above us too but nothing showing itself. With the air temp at 27 at lunchtime we packed up.

4 Barbel, 31 Chub

Very low but just about fishable

My son and I had 122 chub and two Barbel. All the chub were in the 3 to 5 pound bracket with both Barbel around 6 pounds. Fish were caught trotting meat and cheese on the float as well as bouncing it through on a small 3g weight. Fantastic days fishing.

86 chub between 3 and 5 pounds. Mainly caught trotting meat or cheese. Great day and worth the difficult walk.

Chub-apocalypse delivers again. One rod in the water at a time and had 50 odd fish on float fished meat in a few hours early. All a good stamp also. Tried to find some barbel later on but no no avail. Water level very low but not the algae of the lower beats and still fishable.
