1 Barbel, 32 Chub

Pegs at the bottom of the stretch were unreachable so fished on the sandy bank on the bend further upstream where the flow was slower. Caught all day on the stick - mainly Chub and Dace but also 1 Barbel and a few Trout up to 3lb.

Three rods fished. Water level and flow were good. 4 Barbel and 93 Chub caught using pellet and luncheon meat. Barbel were two at 5lb & two at 6lb . Chub were mainly 3 to 4lb with some over 4lb. A very enjoyable day on the river.

chub were out in force as usual on this swim ! - very hot and clear bright day made finding the barbel a bit more challenging

No fish

River down quite a bit, still a good flow. As usual you could not get through the Chub to get to the Barbel. In saying that size of Chub was exceptional. Caught on any baits we tried.
