What a difference from yesterday. Fished the deeper slower end,struggled for bites, fish seem to be in the faster shallower water. Had some welcome rain today. Still a very pleasant day. Other was an eel.

Fantastic days fishing for both of us, all fish were Chub and all caught on the float. I took a friend who is just getting back into fishing, the most Chub he had caught in a day was 4. Well he smashed that yesterday ending up with 51 Chub and one very sore arm from catching so many. He didn’t stop smiling all the way home.

A very warm day, low river although the fish didn't seem to mind all in great condition and fighting fit. ????

Fished with pellets and hemp ground bait. The river had more water than we expected. Distinct lack of weed present.

What can I say, Chub were everywhere and was getting one a chuck. All chub were caught on float and feeder tactics. Lengthen the hair to 2 inches & believe it or not, 4 inches and was still getting chub, they did start getting less frequent which gave time for the barbel to find the bait. An SSG an inch from the hook was the turning point which saw me hook 9 barbel, landing 5. All between 3-5lb. Great days fishing and will definitely return.
