Lots of drifting weed due to welcome rise in river level made things tricky, but I had a very enjoyable afternoon and evening catching a chub (4-ish) and 8 barbel to 7lb.
My companion caught a couple of chub and lost 2 barbel.
As it was our first visit I don't know if I was just lucky in choosing the hot swim, or whether there are barbel throughout that stretch. Very convenient being able to drive along the bank.
The other member of our party fished at White House and caught 4 chub to over 5lb.

Six chub to 4lb (4 float fishing bread and meat, 2 ledger small pellet) one barbel lost due to cut weed. Weather bad, down stream wind, some showers and a non stop flow of cut weed making fishing best part impossible. However had a enjoyable day and will be back later in year. Should anglers be on river when weed cutting, debatable but how do you know?

Some welcome rain all morning but meant that a lot of stringy weed coming down the river. Had to work hard and cast frequently once the mass of weed overcame the weight of the feeder. Nether the less had 5 nice Barbel and no end of Chub. Nice stretch when more water in it.

Surprised to find myself alone on the beat which I haven't visited before. Weather a bit too warm and sunny. Easy access, lovely stretch and a good few fish with numerous chub ranging from 1/2 lb to 4 lb from various swims and then a purple patch of 3 cracking barbel between 4pm and 5pm which I'm sure would have been more had I stayed later and/or picked swims more sensibly in the morning. Lesson learned - don't get too blinkered on the pellets - ring the changes and 'dead' swims come alive.

Thanks for the recommendation WUF - super efficient as ever.

9 barbel to 8lbs 9oz, handful of chub to about 2.5lbs. We think we would have had many more barbel but there was an angler on the opposite bank right were we had planned to fish!

In all the fishing was very good given the bright sunshine and very low water conditions. I would just say that the lower part of Caradoc beat (downstream of suspension footbridge) was extremely busy when we visited with numerous swimmers picnicers dog walkers BBQs and of course canoeists – all were quite polite but I would recommend that this stretch is best fished during the week rather than at a weekend!

Lovely surroundings, and so peaceful. I caught 6 Barbel today to 8 lb 14 oz, a few les than on Whitehouse at the weekend, but still a great day on such a lovely river. All fish fell to small 6mm or 8mm pellets. Cant wait to get back in September. Thankyou W & U Foundation.

What a splendid way to finish the season. 7 barbel between 6 - 7.5 lbs, 5 chub up to 4.15oz (bounced the scales but couldn't get it to go over the magic 5lb barrier!) a 3 lb 2oz brown trout and a 5lb jack.

You definitely have to stay the pace and make the most of the last hour of daylight / dusk to get the best from the fishery. First barbel came at 8.15am, second at 5pm. I'll be back to try this stretch in the summer.

Nothing caught and nothing seen although our fishing was cut short by two small children keen to get home and it was blowing a gale and very cold despite intermittent sunshine
