Sunny hot conditions gave way to a somewhat cooler evening and four hours after starting I was well pleased to finish with six barbel. The two best went 8.7 and 9.0. all on pellet , mostly fished with a straight running lead.

6 Barbel

Scorching day, all the action as expected in the latter stages of the day. Usual pellet and feeder tactics. Decent, “Wye average” stamp of fish.

5 Barbel

Hot and very Sunny caused the fishing to be slow. One barbel in the morning and then most fish in the last hour. Biggest barbel was exactly 9Ib

5 Barbel, 3 Chub

Great days fishing tried both ends of the fishery. Top in the morning, followed by a few Hours at the bottom in the evening . Barbel to 8lb and chub to 5lb 2oz, on pellet (various flavours) with hemp and halibut ground bait.

9 Barbel, 13 Chub, 1 Other

Another great day 26 barbel 1 chub all on pellet couple of fish around the 8lb mark all the rest between 6-7lb. Method groundbait feeder and pellet elipse and halibut.

Tough day, only started catching midday and unfortunately only one of the two anglers caught. nice stretch of river, and will be back.

3 Barbel, 7 Chub

We both had a great day ,Barbel feeding from the start until the sun came out in mid afternoon after which things became more difficult, most Barbel around 7-8 lbs with fish up to 8 lbs 14 oz. Looking forward to returning here in the future.

17 Barbel, 7 Chub

Perfect day river at a nice level with a nice colour 16 barbel between us 1 double each 10lb 14oz & 10lb 2oz. Great stretch of river caught on pellets. Back for another go Friday.
