An attractive stretch and given the extreme heat we were happy to land 6 barbel between 6.5lbs and 5 chub between 2.5lbs and 3lbs plus a small eel. All fish fell to small halibut pellet. The directions were excellent and it was good to be able to park so close to the river. We were confused by the "double bank" as we could not see how to get to the far bank and in any event we couldn't identify any fishable swims. Having walked the majority of the beat it appeared that the only sensible swims were upstream of the parking area and as such we were pleased to be the only two rods booked on the beat.

River in excellent condition; weather likewise. Afternoon session produced 6 barbel to 7.8 and a single chub with a couple of fish lost. A fine way to end the season.

First day of two at the end of the season. I settled in a swim that I had caught a couple from before and C H the next swim below me. CH caught steadily all day on 15 mm boilies. I struggled with snags and decided to change the line of attack, finishing up with 5 up to 9.2lb and 3 chub to 4lb, on double 8mm pellet. C H battered me with 9 barbel and 2 chub. It was a glorious day with the river fining down but still a nice flow and colour to it.

Another stunning day on the Wye, so lucky for March.

Fished middle field and had a great day, 5 barbel in total and 5 chub, all fish caught on pellet and feeder.

Biggest barbel was 10lb 2 oz with all other between 7-9lbs.

Great to be able to park the car near the river bank, plenty of swims to choose from too.

River falling and colour dropping out, looked ideal, but very slippery banks made fishing, especially landing fish, difficult. All fish, bar one small chub, taken on pellet, the other on caster. Finished early to watch rugby ;-)
