Very low . Nice day bird watching. Love this beat.

2 fished, mostly caught trotting meat.
Nice to see the new parking space at the opposite end of the best.

Nice mild day to be out however river was full of cold snowmelt water so wasn't expecting much action but was really pleased to catch a 8lb Barbel on robin red pellet, we roved about & my companion caught a couple of Trout on the maggot feeder & a nice 4lb Chub. Always an enjoyable day on the Wye

Arrived at a very coloured river, chocolate brown. We all blanked !

Freezing cold weather and river rising, but we managed to catch a few chub, water to cold for Barbel.

After realising that the weather conditions of sleet and freezing temperatures would make it a most unpleasant day we decided to travel the long distance back home instead of fishing. A good decision as the rain and sleet continued all day.

After a good day yesterday same beat, today the weather turned against us with heavy snow so we decide the risk not worth it and decided not to fish. Will back in the summer !
