Beautiful location, cold unfortunately but we will be back again. 3 of us fishing, I was fishing under the road bridge and blanked. One of my brothers was fishing approximately 50 yards up stream from me and caught 1 trout and 1 Grayling. My other brother was fishing about 20 yards up stream from him and caught 7 Trout and 7 Grayling. They will not let me forget this until we come back next year.

8 Trout, 8 Grayling

Lovely days fishing in a beautiful spot - 1 pull in the neck of Rectory late in the day - No salmon seen - I saw 1 cormorant down towards the run.

A lovely first day out for the 2016 season, river looked good at 1' 5" but sorry to report no sign of a salmon. Good hatch of olives at lunch time and trout rising all over the tail of the Rectory pool for about an hour. Will be back soon.

No salmon despite good conditions. One suicidal grayling (returned).

1 Grayling

Very pleasant days fishing. One pull in rock. Three cormorants seen.

3 Trout

Smashing days fishing, banks very clogged up with willow trees and flood debris made movement very difficult, challenging. Lovely day though would do it again.

2 Trout

Unfortunately the river was too brown and high to fish after the heavy rain the day before so the rods never made it out of the car!

1'10" and rose 2" according to my stick in the two + hours I was there. Heavy hail scuds. Water clear and occasional trout rising.

High, but clear water after a floods from Storm Katy and a generally cloudy day made for good conditions. A nice 18 lb cock springer. Taken on a gold body Willie Gunn fished deep.

1 Salmon, 1 Grayling

2ft 3" 4ft vis and dropping very slowly. Warmish sunny afternoon with a few LDO's and Grannom on the wing. Had time to trawl a monkey through likely spots in Bridge, Gravel catch and Rock to no avail. Don't like fishing sunk line, often find myself feeling it isn't deep enough over the lies and then it inevitably hangs up on the inside. Oh for a few weeks time when the sink-tips and size 8's can come out.
Left river when water levels inside waders had equalised with the water level on the outside them!
