First outing of the new season on a new beat as a new season rod, good to be out there wetting a line again, river looked good for the first few hours then rose in no time which made it hard in every way. Met another rod, had a good chat about the beat, picked up some pointers for next time, cheers Brian.
Good maps WUF, helps no end.

River on 1ft 8" when I started fishing, bit of color on it but as the day progressed it was coloring up more. Maybe a bit to much color for the fly ? No salmon caught but saw one salmon. Had a take off a small trout and had a pull in the top of the Rock pool in the afternoon. I was going back through it the second time but unfortunately there was 10 plus kayaks came down the river so I called it a day, roll on next season.
