Nil salmon - low water, very bright. Several small trout from bridge pool and the flats and a grayling of 1.5lb.
Salmon seen in Rectory pool 10 mins before I had to leave but showed no interest in the short time I fished it!!
Many thanks.

First time on this beat and very impressed. Varied, challenging water and great scenery. Lost a decent fish in Rock pool at 8am and saw another fish move in Rectory but nothing except a half pound trout caught. Looking forward to returning next Tuesday.

1'2" falling about 2" during the day. Nil caught, nil touched, nil seen.
Again blazing sunshine and low clear water. After my visit on 11th was better prepared. Fished hard where suitable for conditions.

Water conditions appeared good but no salmon caught or touched. Maybe I can blame the bright sunshine? A few fish seen moving but no great number.
We stayed two nights at Gromain Cottage B+B which was fine and convenient.

Another good day. Fishing on the Rectory beat. Arrived on the water to find it was very coloured so decided to leave the fly rod in the boot of the car and go spinning with my friend Alistar. We fished hard all day I touched a fish in Ty-mawr pool and saw a couple of fish move through the day. We moved up to the Rock pool and Alistar had a salmon of 11lb cock fish, slightly coloured, caught on a orange double hook flying 'C' just below the big rock. I was following behind fishing and about 30 mins later caught a Salmon of 9lb Hen Fish again slightly coloured, caught on a double hook Yellow flying 'C' just above the big rock both fish returned very well.
