9” on the gauge and almost clear skies was never going to be conducive to good fishing with either a salmon or a trout rod. Very slow and I had packed up by 2.00.
River still carrying a little colour though.
The trout, all small, took small salmon doubles or an Adams offered to the odd riser.

River dropping after a wee bit of rain, didn't do the fishing any good, nothing caught or seen

Nice height of water and good colour, fished fly first and caught the first shad of the season, down to the rectory pool and nothing, back to spin the Mill pool and bang into a shad about 2lb , no salmon though

Intermittent rain, with some nice dry spells in between. No fish seen or caught but first time at the Rectory beat. I'll be back!

Two salmon lost. One to the net. Mill Pool. Top of Gravel catch inder the copper beech. Low to mid "teens"
