Low water, sunny day, beautiful stretch of river, and a great pleasure to be on the water. A few small fish rising but nothing would tempt them on to my line, dry or wet. "Nul points", as they say.

Rectory almost showing bare bones today at 9’’ and clear. A smallish olive hatch on the rocks early afternoon produced a brownie of 3/4 lb, and my guest rod had a couple of Grayling from the tail. Rain needed and soon. No sign of any salmon.

Clear, dry day with little wind and low water.
Fished the deeper holes and pockets with weighted nymphs and was rewarded with two good looking trout up to about 13". There were some small fish riding in front of the hut and a 7" trout was tempted by a stripped quill emerger.

9 inch on the gauge. No Salmon seen or caught.

Didn’t fish any water on the loop today but put a fly through just about everything else. A couple of small trout came to a small cascade on the rectory stream, but no sign of any salmon .

A chilly day on the beat today with the river carrying perhaps a bit too much colour for the fly after the small rise overnight. One nice brownie of around 1 1/2 took a fancy to my Dee monkey but no salmon seen.
