First time on this beat. River still very high and fast from weekend rains so it took a bit of time to find the best areas for trout. Other fishermen (salmon)on the beat very helpful. 4 WBT but only one would have troubled the scorer. Half a dozen missed or threw the hook. A carefully maintained beat - much appreciated.

Have been waiting with anticipation to fish this beat.
The good news is the river had risen,the bad news is it was quite coloured and kept rising..
Fished the top beats but no pulls or fish seen.
Gave it best and went to the wheelwrights for a late lunch .

Coloured and seemingly high water. The water visibly dropped and cleared late afternoon and trout started to take g/h daddies and weighted 'grubs'. Salmon showing on the big bend before the flats. Lovely evening.
