DNF too hot

Way too hot

Water very clear. Caught a pike about 24 inches. A salmon jumped in the Rectory pool.

nil return, water falling and gradually starting to clear throughout the day. Several fish showing at both Mill stream and Rectory pool late afternoon but not interested in my fly fishing effort so tried a s/h fc for the last run through but to no avail.

Didn’t fish turned up and the river was up and very very coloured so walked the beat as we’d not fished it before and headed home later in the afternoon

Perfect morning started fishing at 08:30hrs river started to rise at 10:30hrs within an hour it was up 3’ and coloured.
Departed 11:30hrs the river was in full spate.

Fished the fly, concentrated on the gravel catch. The river was perfect until 11:00 it the rose a meter in 45 minutes and was unmissable. No Salmon caught.
