1'4" on the Wyesham Gauge
Overcast 13-15 degrees
Lost a fish on the 4th Cast in Colemans when it snagged me!
Had a pluck in Station Stream that came to nothing. 18lb slightly coloured, very well conditioned, hen from Colemans on 1/2" Cascade Copper Tube. Returned safely and went away strongly. One further offer from below Colemans Crib before lunch! What a great mornings fishing
Keep up the good work WUF
Two double figure fish in as many weeks!
Looking forward to next season already.

Slight colour and water about 10 " higher than my previous trips. So, encouraged by these conditions and a big tide, fished hard all day. Unfortunately, no success.
So in total fished Wyesham five times this summer and caught 3 salmon despite my inexperience on these beats.

Dull day, dull black/gold 1" copper tube fished on intermediate tip took both fish with some induced movement required as water very low but much cooler than previous visits. First midweek visit to Wye and no canoes. A very pleasant day despite the rain.

Fly only. Fish seen by me but none caught. Ray the Guille could not have been more helpful.

Perfect conditions, other then a lack of water. A brilliant place and I'll certainly be back. Saw plenty of fish, although quiet stale. Tried a sunray shadow in desperation at the end of the day and had my first and only touch, although nothing hooked and it was pretty timid.

Several fish showed during day up to about 15lb but all fairly coloured. Tried various flies from large Collie Dogs to size 16 Hairy Mary. Need some water I think, hopefully before my next sessions later in September. Getting used to jumping out of the way of misguided canoes.

Fly only. Zero fish, plenty of joy riding canoes. At this time of year and all things considered not worth the £85.
