Two trout on streamer not a lot of surface activity fished hard for most of the visit stopped for a tea break heard screeching up on the road . A worried younger couple came down and asked grandad if I could change their near side front wheel they did not have a clue one was in one's waders and they asked if was fishing anyway wheel was changed and they were off on their merry way to Bristol from Aberystwyth strange. So I did catch a Ten pounder ha. Ha. By the way the trout were about a 1 pound in weight

Fished the beat from top to tail hardly anything rising all day.
So went sub-surface with weighted PT nymphs. The deeper slower water near the top of the beat proved the most productive.The trout were in perfect condition although small around 6>8 inches, grayling also.
All returned safely.

Only fished for 2-3 hours. caught one smallish grayling. Some heavy rain showers so went home.

Tried for a salmon during the morning, but no chance - river was very low.

A hot sunny day and the river was very low. No salmon seen, possible barbel take on a Salmon fly.
