First cloud cover for weeks. No sign of fly life, not a single rise all day but happy to take tungsten nymphs hard on bottom. best fish about 2lb.

Good fishing. Mix of dry and nymph was working well. Rope section fished better than the lower. Faster water held more decent fish.

A dozen trout up to about 1 3/4lb most taken on nymphs in the faster water with small black and olive quilldigons the most effective. Lost one good fish that looked and felt well over 2lb too. Couple more on dries on deer hair emerger too but rises were infrequent with the bright sun.

Beautiful beat to fish. I only had a short session as the temperature went up to 28°C by midday. Had 3 in total and lost a few -nothing big.
