Fished from the outlet down to the bridge, hooked 3 on buzzer (2.30-4.30pm) but only landed 1 brownie approx 20cm. Very hot day, crystal clear and water low so lots of rocks and snags but a few deep pools.

Lovely day on the river but we only caught a little Salmon parr between us

Lovely day and setting, but gushy wind made fishing difficult. Lack of rising fish or sight of fish also didnt help. Had two plucks of PTN.

Unfortunately the river is very low and not suitable for fishing.

Fished 9 till late. Fished only Dry Flies of which Hares Ear Klink, Adams and Fluttering Caddis were best. Best fish 16''. Great evening rise after 8. Had many opportunities to rises and fish on.. Enjoyed sharing the river with 2 Otters, many Ducklings and Sand Martins and Swallows.

Hooked a couple but landed nothing

Fished only dries - olives hatching in morning - nothing much during the day - then good sedge and caenis hatches in evening.

River was on dead summer low, ‘on its bones’. Fished with dry fly all day. Fish were spooky. A few intermittent fly hatches, mainly olive uprights
