Fished all day. Rain in PM. Just fished Dry Flies and rose fish throughout the day. Some Mayflies but imitations did not rise the trout. Wonderful evening rise to tricky fish. Best flies H/E Klink, Sedges, Adams Invincible. Lovely colony of Swifts nesting in bank.

Hot bright day with breeze building up over course of the day. Fished mainly the upper half of the beat. Only saw two fish rise. Hatch very sparse

Variety of methods worked, dries early then the upstream nymph and downstream spider later. 2 crackers around 14", proper Usk leopards. River in really good nick and fished well given bright conditions

Had a terrific days fly fishing on the Usk at Dinas. Both my partner & I were under the watchful eye of guide Oliver Burch & we were treated to an exceptional day. His patience & knowledge were 1st class & as complete novices he had a challenge on his hands. Terrific scenery, great company & we left very happy. Thank-you Oliver & Wye & Usk.

No rain but dark clouds, windy, water still pushing through at a pace. I only fished dries all day. Trout caught on blue dun. Massive hatches in afternoon, nothing in morning. Saw a few small mayfly. Fish not interested in them yet.
All in all a good day. If weather improves should be smashing next week.

11 trout from 8 inches to2lb. 9 on French leader fish were hard on the deck in the afternoon they half heartedly came up and had two on spider's. If all fish were landed would have been closer to twenty. Great day. Dinas rarely disappoints.
