A slow day but great fun in a beautiful spot. All small fish about 1/2-3/4 of a pound plus a swallow that took the dropper whilst the rod propped against the bank and I was unhooking a fish. Netted and returned undamaged to flight.

Very hard day fishing. A stiff north wind made casting difficult, didn't see any fish rise, caught on black pennell and red head montana but still enjoy the day.

Using Llyn B to save my fishing trip. 2 fish to hand but very hard work with gusty winds and lots of rain.

What a difference a few days makes down from mid 30's to mid teens (not that i'm complaining!). Rain and low cloud all day so conditions perfect!
Well over a dozen trout on wets mainly Bibio hopper with red legs. Hen harrier spotted hovering and there was a Cormorant there most of the day.

Really hot and bright in the morning but saving grace was southerly breeze to give good ripple. 3 trout caught in morning ( half to three quarter lb) then at three pm with two thunder storms on either side wind changed to N. I lost a good fish and Ben had a really nice fish in region 2- 2.25 lb. Rises seen and various swirls at flies. All fish caught on size14 Stoats Tails or Connemara blacks. Drove home, rain and thunder all the way, Rhayader awash.

Well, what a place, proper wild fishing. My fishing partner who fished well all day caught 10 fish all on dries anything with red in the pattern seemed to be order of the day. My three were on a Montana with a red head but I missed a lot more. It's a must for the views alone, great great day. I can see us being regulars there.

First time here, a beautiful spot. The drive across from Bromyard and the views approaching the water are almost worth the trip in themselves. Met a pair of other anglers just stopping for lunch when I arrived who kindly gave me some tips and suggestions - thanks chaps if you're reading! Blustery, mixed skies, no fish rising, so chopped and changed a pair of wets walking slowly up the left hand side. Complete silence other than skylarks, a pair of cronking ravens and the sheep. Small black patterns with a flash of silver seemed to be the order of the day, catching around a dozen dark, hard fighting upland trout. The wind died and the clouds completely disappeared later in the evening. Was hoping this might precipitate some dry fly action, but instead the fish seemed to vanish. Made for lovely conditions for a picnic tea before the drive home though. Saw a bonus hen harrier on the way out too!
