Arrived around 09:30 with the lake in the clouds which lifted after a hour, remaining overcast for most of the day. Plenty of Heather Fly being blown onto the water with the trout freely rising to them all over the lake. Both of us fished dry using black hoppers and stimulator. Estimate of around 35 fish landed between us and as usual many more lost or missed. Finished fishing around 19:00 just as small flying ants where taking to the wing. Once again saw the male hen harrier as we drove back along the track to the main road, followed by the osprey as we drove past Clywedog.

Introduced some friends from Bavaria to fly fishing at this superb location.
For complete novices in challenging conditions they fished well and were rewarded with 2 on the dry fly.

Humid,still overcast afternoon. Started well with a few rises and takes on butchers in the top water. Went very quiet for 5. Took one on a squirmy at depth. Then nothing worked. Huge midge hatch from 7, we were unprepared and retreated even though the fish were freely rising from 7.30 onwards. It is one of the best places to fish there is when it's like that. Will return with mosi protection.

Always a great trip to Bugeilyn.

Landed 5 trout, lost another 5 and missed a few.
Everything on dry flies. Very fussy and easy to spook.
Hot clear day.

Had a Sunday evening phone call to say my job was cancelled for Monday ,so I grabbed my rods and headed up to llyn bugeilyn what a place it never disappoints caught 10 on a black klinkhamer,but missed 20 plus .
