2 rainbow trout caught. One on spinner and one on worm. Both around 30cm. Both slipped away and returned to the muddy depths.

1 - very irritating to find an additional "booking fee" at theory end. Such extra charges should be up front!!!
2 - the amount of poaching that I witnessed this evening was unbelievable. One guy had several fixed lines baited for trout over approx 100yards of bank and was clearly staying late. My booking was checked by a ranger earlier in the day but no bailiffs visible in the latter part of the day. No wonder the fishing was so expensive!
Fishing Passport Note : Booking fees are mentioned on each beat page and in the T's & C's. In the event of suspected poaching. Anglers should immediately report this to NRW.
