1 small rainbow on black spinner. Many fish rising but not taking. An awful lot of rubbish left by other anglers.

Fly Fished from 8am to 5pm, enjoyed the day out but no fish caught which would have been a bonus.

Fly only. Took the one fish caught.
Anglers using worm having a lot more success but creating more disturbance in the water. Such is life. It was my choice to use fly instead of worm.
Very sad to see an angler on the opposite bank gutting his catch in the reservoir.
Just as I was leaving the water - around 4:30pm - a couple arrived - husband/wife, middle aged, and while he set up two rods, worming, she set up a fire so they could cook the catch. This means more fish being gutted in the water.
There is plenty of evidence around the bank that fires are made to cook with.
I'm not a 'Fly Purist' and have no problem sharing a water with bait fishers and spinners - I also use both methods - but the gutting of fish on the bank and into the water means I will NOT be returning to this water.

We went late in the day and only fished for about 3 hours. We didn't catch any fish, lost one as it jumped and dislodged the spinner. Very enjoyable though just to teach my 11 year old daughter to spin....

Water low at the moment and difficult to catch. It was very windy. However 2 fish caught. One around 1lb. The second was fantastic, 4lb 6oz in weight with a beautiful blue tinge on back. Just touching 19 inches nose to tail. Great fight.

Weather was good, water was low but a lot of fish rising. I caught 3 rainbow trout and a lot of others were catching fish. A good day all round.

1 small fish on spinner. Difficult fishing over last month. Lots of rubbish on the bank with people leaving everything from beer cans to numerous tins of sweetcorn and luncheon meat.

Fished from 8am and caught one 2.5lb rainbow trout on the bottom at 4:30pm. Didn't see any fish rising. Disappointing day really, I think the ticket price needs adjusting!
