Great day. Perfect conditions, windy, not too much and some cloud and rain. All fish caught at far end in the reed beds area on caddis and nymph. Around 3 other fish hooked but escaped.

Is as much as one tenth of the shoreline of Talybont Reservoir currently accessible to anglers? Perhaps Welsh Water is too busy ladling sewage into the Usk (more than 1,300 releases in 2025 alone, online claim) to be able to address this.

Four good trout biggest about 2lb all on dries with a coch y bonddu beetle the most effective. Missed a few more good takes too. Walked the banks and weed beds looking for rises and plopped the beetle down next to them and that would bring the fish up. Great place with some cracking fish
