Fished Tal-y-bont reservoir on October 16th to end the Stillwater trout season. 5 brownies were landed in a late afternoon session of a few hours at the top end, all on floating line, 20 foot long leader and red-head tadpole fly. Best fish was a magnificent 17 ½ inch cock fish, with the rest being 12 -13 inches. All returned to grow bigger for next season!

Very disappointed in the days fishing. Tried a multitude of flies in windy conditions, but not a single pull all day. Discussed with several other anglers on the reservoir all of whom stated the same. Poor days fishing.

Bright sunny day caught nil, limited fishing spots and spoilt with sticks etc being thrown for dogs in the water with no regard for fishermen, did not feel value for money at all, very disapointed in a beautiful setting.

Fished for total of about three hours during afternoon, at the various open spots along the west (roadside) bank. Sunny but strong on-shore breeze. One fish landed on a Bibio. Another good fish lost, and three other takes. The reservoir appeared high.
