3 brown trout caught and released

This was my first attempt at catching wild browns and although the conditions were good, the trout were too quick for me.
Fished for about 3 hours from 9:30 am. I had one serious offer, I had one on which unhooked itself when it leapt clear of the water, and another couple of taps. Overall an enjoyable morning in beautiful surroundings

Fished the weed beds on the west bank to no avail.
Saw 4 people spinning.

No fish today as it was very very windy, and water very choppy, but a nice walk ????

Stunning, picturesque reservoir.
Fished the east bank into the deep drop-off's.

Windy and difficult conditions. Unable to find the fish

All returned.

7 Trout

Reservoir very low at the start of 2022 drought. Had to work hard for 4 fish. Nice mix for the weekend combining with a day on the Ebbw. All fish came to a Captain Peacock.

Very strong wind towards the dam. Water was coloured up. Slogged hard with various flies/techniques but ended with 2 circa 8-9”. Lost a much better one at the death.
