Decided to have a crack at this beautiful but seldom fished beat without too much expectation of catching much.This is a stunning venue and despite the hot weather there were various birds showing all day with the highlight being a Sparrowhawk swooping low across the river in the evening sun.Having visited just once before it was difficult to judge if the venue had improved significantly but there would appear to be more swims.Clearly some work has been undertaken (Thanks KC and the sunshine band from Leeds) to improve matters here and despite the difficult hot and low water conditions the fishing was quite rewarding.The venue is worth a visit if you don't mind a fairly long walk some of it being very uphill at the end of the day...!!

River slow and very weedy making it snaggy All fish caught on pellet & meat ledgering Otter spotted later in the day

Swim access difficult. Only fished 5:30 to 8:00 am.

Feeder fishing. Pellets and paste. River steady flow. Very difficult to get to swims. Will not book again

A hot and sunny day. Fished from 2-8pm and most fish were taken in the evening from the croy at the very top of the stretch. 1 eel caught in addition to the chub and barbel.
