River in flood. Gave it a few hours but conditions against me. No fish caught, nice stretch of river just pity about the weather.

Fished for 5 hours in the pool below bridge not a bite! Tried every thing. Very disappointed as I have allways done well before. Might be something to do with the opposite bank now being fished on this day there was three anglers all casting over to the side I was fishing! Would have tried other swims but these are few and with bad access.
Plus 4 other "Club" anglers arrived later in the morning taking up any remaing swim. Will not return.

Second day on this beat again anglers fishing on the opposit bank. I can see this being a problem in future. We finished with 6 barbel and 1 chub all caught on the pellets and boillies.

Second days fishing on WUF waters. This is quite a challenging beat but worth the effort although now the opposit bank is fished on WUF tickets this does put pressure on the popular areas. None the less we still had a good day landing 11 barbel up to 9lb, all caught on pellets and boillies.

17 barbel and 4 chub evenly split between us caught on a mixture of pellet hookbaits fished below open end feeders filled with groundbait and pellets. We fished swims around the top access point. Mainly 4 to 5lb class, biggest just over 8lb. Excellent WUF directions, doubt we would have found the top entrance without them.

We had another excellent days fishing, the river was in perfect condition. We fished several swims along the beat. J finished with 19 barbel and 2 chub, I finished with 13 barbel and 2 chub. The barbel were of good stamp 5lb to 8.5lb, the chub were up to 4lb. Thank you WUF for a first class service and a fantastic fishery.

4 small Barbel. Late afternoon start and found little interest all round several spots from the railway stancions to 3 fields downstream [long old railway track parking behind padlocked gate].
Packed up when the rain came into dark, with nothing much of note on the wildlife front either. Desultory ? Nah, not in this lovely place!
