Enjoyed my first visit to this beat. The video guide was useful.
Big water with level at 1.79 at Ross, so really only had one option to fish the margins. Had the place to myself so fished all swims in woods. Meat worked early on, but pellets worked as light started to go. Fish all decent size up to 8lbs, so happy with the day.

Again we did not fish as the weather was just to bad.We do not have a 4x4 car so we would not take the risk to use the car park down the hill, and the walk from the the church car park was to treacherous under foot and far to long to find a fishable swim in the conditions.

Very wet day but river looked good for a few bites with mild air and a tinge of colour in the water.
Two anglers in the woods, one in the cattle drink and one downstream. Rewarded with 7 Barbel, 35 Chub and one bonus Grayling between us.
Always nice fishing this beat and despite the heavy rain we had a good day.

River had fined down from previous day and looked much more promising. We both fished the forested section, no bites until midday when one of the two swims switched on. Halibut pellets over hemp was the successful combination.

First time on this beat so always an exciting prospect. Greeted by a very chocolate brown fast flowing, rising river, so decided to walk the beat to seek out any possible swims. Chose to start at the church end and work back trying the slack areas close in. The one other was an eel, caught on cheese, our only bite of the morning. Had a break and decided to give the wooded swims a try, opted for about the 7th swim along, using cheese and garlic soft hookers wrapped in meaty paste, which resulted in the 2 barbel ( 5lb and 7lb 12oz). With the river continuing to rise we called it a day, but will return on a normal day.
