We fished from 7am until 3pm and the Barbel came steadily with pellet and feeder tactics. River was coloured and in excellent condition. Some Barbel still had some spawn. Biggest was 8LB 4oz with the smallest being 5LB. We only fished the 5 swims in the main field below the orchard. Would return here as it is an excellent fishery.

River up but looked good so a little disappointed with only 1 x barbel between us.

Reasonable day. River still a little high and pushing but improved as the day went on.

River looked in good condition after recent conditions. Sadly no Barbel biting today. 2 Chub to 3lb 6oz on ledgered pellet. Pestered by lots of finicky bites which we assumed were small fish. Always a pleasure to fish W&U beats.

Difficult day but lovely weather and beautiful location no barbel but 6 nice chub from 3.5 to 5lb and large dace

On arrival 1st day of the season I noticed each of the swims had been cleared of excess vegetation providing good access. The river was up after the recent rain with good colour too. Fished pellet and feeder tactics in various swims with only limited success and the odd bite. Conditions looked excellent for Barbel so surprised not to hook one. 4 chub between 2 and 4LB.

I did not fish as the conditions were not great.

Fantastic day on the bank, but the fishing was hard. The river was rising fast and was racing through. Managed to eek out two beautiful 5lb chub on meat. Thank you W&UF.
