Low and clear on a hot day. Lots of chub, mostly on the float.
Not so much access on the upstream end.

Hard days fishing very hot during the day,fished out on the beach island lovely out there,ten chub between the two of us biggest 3 1/2 lb rest small various baits used and was an enjoyable day.

Only looked at top end. Few if be any reasonable points of access. Tried walking through the wood and gave up. Disappointing

Fished the beach area. Trotted meat, feeding hemp. A faster section of the beat. A very slow day, 6 small chub gave us sport in the morning before the heavens opened up and forced an early finish. The Wye seems very quiet this year. Ive fished a few beats this season and sport is certainly harder than last.
The beach area is past the woods. Follow the track which runs along the orchard and look for a stile. Walk straight ahead of you across the meadow. Further down are the deeper slower pegs.

No barbel but a few chub, including two decent sized fish.

lovely area, more effort needs to be put in to swims, to make it possible to fish . It wouldn't take much effort to clear some of the over hanging branches as this restricts casting and the banks to some swims made safer and easier to acess, Other than that nice place.
This has been mentioned by other anglers before as well.
