Dead bait. River looked perfect but the Pike did not want to play.

What a great session in damp cold conditions. 4 barbel to 12lbs 4oz and another at 10lbs 6oz. Had to move to find the fish. Largest barbel I have guided on the river.

4 Barbel, 1 Chub

Only managed to fish 3 hrs in the afternoon but blanked on a swim at approx midway on the beat. Looked perfect with a very evident crease, but couldn't buy a bite on pellets and PVA. Never mind, still enjoyed myself and very satisfied with the catch previous day.

One of the warmest Octobers days fishing I've experienced. Still 2 fine barbel one of 9lbs and another at 10lbs 1oz plus a good chub of 4lbs 6oz. Not the busiest of days but the fish were in pristine condition and very fat.

2 Barbel, 2 Chub

Biggest barbel, 9lb 5oz and chub 4lb 8oz. All good sized fish and very enjoyable day.

8 Barbel, 6 Chub

A hard day with only 1 barbel of 7.5lb caught.

1 Barbel

Short session 2-5pm. Two fine conditioned Barbel netted, both about 8lbs. Great fight from both fish. Unhooked both in the water, 5 mins recovery in the net and release. Fantastic. Caught on Hinders Ellipse dumbells with PVA bags filled with various sized pellets and doused in Ellipse oil. Will be back on the water for a longer session tomorrow.

2 Barbel

One 6lb barbel caught today. We did have the ticket for yesterday as well and the report submitted then reflects what happened today also.

Hi, had 3 Barbel to one rod 11lb 7oz, 6lb 6oz and 6lb 5oz. Fishing conditions were tough with terminal tackle being lost on snags due to flow. Also banks were quite difficult to fish as rain made the steep banks slippy. However we all had a great time and look forward to visiting again soon. Although the other three rods did not catch, one other had a chance with a missed Barbel bite. We fished pellet with feeder and on reflection should have fished heavier feeders. 3oz feeders and 4oz leads did not hold bottom in main flow and quite quickly found a snag! Overall over the moon with 11.7lb Barbel though! Thank you for the opportunity, countryside was stunning.
