Brown fast water. Caught on pellet.

Sorry for the delay my Computer has been out of action. 3 barbel were caught under difficult conditions. All were taken by feeder method. River was high and fast flowing.

Had two smallish pike. Didn't bother to weigh but both less than 10lb. Missed a strike from a bigger fish.

Conditions good, fished from 8:00am to 18:30pm. Four of us on this stretch ,we mainly fished two swims on the meadow and the other two anglers moved around more from the woods to the meadow. Unfortunately no fish. As always a beautiful place to fish but not so lucky this time. All were using feeder tactics with various hook bait, maybe a change in method needed for next visit.

River had good flow and colour. Rain with light wind. Had 1 bite, 1 Barbel 6lb 12oz.on pellet.

River conditions not too bad although quite coloured and rising it was fishable. After 7 hours without a bite very glad to pack up and go home, it had rained all day the banks were very slippery and muddy making some of the swims quite dangerous to fish. Also lost quite a lot of tackle as every swim l fished appeared to contain a lot of snags.

Arrived to find falling river after overnight rise. It was showing more colour than I have seen for a while so prospects looked good. Unfortunately, 7 hrs fishing resulted in 1 eel & little else. Love this stretch & will return soon.

Very difficult day due to weed and debris brought down by the rising river. Just one chub to show for our efforts.
