River up and raining. No bites on any baits, probably wrong swims on the day. Went home early. Wild beat but paths and a few beats have been strimmed.

River at over 3m and brown but pleasant weather if a bit windy. No bites but good to be out on the Last Day.

Very wet, breezy and chilly with a few inches of extra water and a little colour. Perfect. Fished smelly paste-wrapped small boilies with a groundbait feeder. Missed a couple of bites in the morning whilst huddled under the brolly but better success in The Meadow in the afternoon with 3 cracking fish. Nice result for March.

3 Barbel

River very high only able to fish two pegs on Legg Meadow. Had two takes lost both fish

River level ok. Water temperature only 6c. Only one bite recorded. Blustery day. Nothing caught.

Bright and cold fished legg meadow no bites all day.

In total contrast to the last time i fished when the river was way up!River back down to normal winter level. At present this stretch is being very kind to me as on a glorious spring like day in the Wye Valley I recorded my third double from this beat. only the one barbel but what a stunning looking beast and in mint condition and what a scrap - 10lb 7oz of pure perfection. The bite came out of the blue in late afternoon and finished the day off with a couple of chub at dusk. Will be back real soon!!
