Great location water was high due to the rain and very coloured lost a fish while spinning near the bridge late afternoon.

Good weather and water about .65m with colour. Elected to spin and landed a nice 9lb hen at rock. John also had a nice fish at the top pool. Both coloured and returned safely. John also had a half pound brown on a quill minnow which was also returned ok

2 Salmon

River was looking great with good colour and flow saw salmon rolling and a few trout rising. Picked up 3 trout swinging salmon flies biggest about 5lbs and then picked up a strong salmon hen of 10lbs! Lots of light rain but all in all a super day!

1 Salmon, 3 Trout

River was at 0.6 and slightly coloured. Saw at least 4 salmon around rock pool, caught one 5lb grilse on a black flying c. Safely returned. Excellent day

Level was at 0.5 and sun was constant, but saw two salmon jump below the bridge and an otter swimming lower down. Lovely day

Early arrival. River 0.64m and lovely colour. A few fish seen of various sizes and hues,including a fresh grilse which nearly ran over my foot on Upper Rock! A 13lb colouring cock fish accepted my Feeler Cascade and was safely released after a good fight. Nice kip in the afternoon sun. Things surprisingly quiet later on in spite of very high tides. A delightful day's fishing.

1 Salmon

Arrived at 10.45 to perfect salmon conditions at .77m and light colour. Fished spinner and landed a strong hen fish of about 9lb at 12.15 with the expert help of my colleague John Lewis. Fish was quite bronzed so as the hook detached itself in the net the fish was returned safely without handling. Fish taken on gold and red rapala at the rock..
No further fish for either of us. Nice to see the owner Barry Paraskeva down on such a good day. We left him fishing fly down woodstream. Hope he had something for his long journey down from London.

1 Salmon

Coloured river cleared at a steady height (0.7) throughout the day. Looked great from about 5pm - Fish was caught in the Upper Rocks at the top of the beat on a Willie Gunn variant. Returned strong. Estimated 10lb - coloured hen fish covered in lice - assume it had coloured in the estuary?
(WUF note possibly Argulus - river lice?)

Very nice stretch or river. A few nice salmon splashing around, but none caught.
