First time on the beat and a very enjoyable day. We only fished about half of it so will have to go back! Some bank access was very tricky and only for the young and nimble.
Warm day, low water and crystal clear. Small wet flies worked best for us and gnat imitations and dark brown gold heads seemed to work.
No shortage of salmon parr & small chub with one nice 8" WBT taken on a black gnat imitation.

1 Trout, 2 Chub, 3 Other

Same conditions as the accompanying Trout report. 2 anglers, one for Salmon, one for trout. Saw quite a few fish rising during the day and covered them with Flying C's, large Mepps & various other spinners to no avail. A selection of sea trout and salmon flies were also dropped into likely spots with a similar response. Great day out however, will try again before the end of the season.

Blank in good water conditions. Some fish showing in lower pools but not taking. Thank you.

Lovely day and caught one 8 inch WBT. Good hatches but hardly any fish rising.

1 Trout

Had a great day. Wading is slippery but had fun. Trout were 10oz each caught in fast water so great fight on 4wt rod. small hatches of green cadis through out the day. Caught on gold head hares ears.

2 Trout

A pleasant afternoon: Three small but hard fighting wild brownies - all to a weighted GRHE. Despite covering most of the beat, I took all the fish under the bridge.

Disappointing fishing, no salmon or trout, only three small fish.

Arrived at 6.45am & fished through The Rocks & The Chine with small salmon flies. No salmon seen or any takes except for a large trout which was no match for a 14 foot double hander!
Swapped to a little 3wt for trout later on & took a couple on a tiny gold head pheasant tail fished duo.
A very big salmon rolled in the slack water at the back of The Chine Pool about 11am but given the low clear water I wonder if it was stuck there & had been in a while. Still I tried covering it with all sorts as it clouded up later, but no interest at all.

3 Trout

Fished below bridge. I took a 14ft salmon rod and spinning rod and my companion hedged his bets with a salmon rod and 9ft trout rod. His was the better idea as I blanked but he had 4 trout, 1.5lb, 1lb and two 12oz. Fish took HE spider.

12 small trout returned caught using nymphs and wet fly.
