River nice height sl.tint. Fished hard for 8hrs in lovely surroundings. Saw two kingfishers and a mink. Didn't see or touch a fish - packed up gear and was walking back to the car when a 10lb bar of silver leapt out of the water just where I had been casting. That's salmon fishing! Will be back. Thanks to WUF for a most enjoyable day. Service charming as ever.

Perfect water at 1ft and clearing. Saw and fished over 2 salmon at the rock again with no success using several tube flies on an intermediate line.

Took 4 trout at 5-6pm on subsurface sedge again but no significant size. Had to leave before late evening rise once again so very frustrated with others!!

Switched to dry fly and took 2 trout of 12 oz on tupps 14. Later on took 5 trout fishing sub surface with deer hair sedge 14m the best 1lb 2oz. All returned OK. Had to leave at 7pm, pity.

Off the mark at last!! water 0.57m and coloured. No salmon showing. Hooked a 6lb grilse at the tree root in the Rockpool on black/gold FC. Hook came out in net, so returned the hen fish without handling. Hooked a larger double ten yards down, which had three strong runs down toward the Chine and came off. Both at 6.30 - 7pm.

Sparse trout rise late on probably due to colour. J P fished am and pm with no success.

I caught a 10lb salmon from the Rock Pool at the upper limits of the chainbridge beat using a 20g toby. The river had a fair bit of colour to it but by the afternoon it had faded out enough for me to land the fine 10lb salmon.
