Used every weapon in an admittingly poorly stocked armoury for no return.

I might as well have faced the opposite way and looked at the pretty cows.

Other was kips.

Good access to the bank with clearly marked pegs. Struggled all day until I moved into the fast water right at the death. Unfortunately lost a barbel on the feeder in a snag but then had one on the float near 9lbs. A historic blank was avoided. Must try harder

River had gone up approx 6 inches since last Saturday. We tried two different swims, tried very hard using scaled down tactics but failed to catch any barbel on our favourite Wye & Usk beat. Just one solitary chub was poor reward for our efforts.

4 barbel, 2 chub and 2 dace.

All caught on feeder and pellet.

Hard day 3 bites all day 1 chub about 7lb

3 fished, another tough day, seems to be the norm at the moment . The other was a trout.

We tried hard all day but river very low and sunny conditions. Had one barbel bite all day but it came off.

Fished the afternoon in to early evening targeting Barbel but no luck. Nice place with plenty of fishable swims.
