Nice beat, but only a few swims to look at in the top section with myself and one other angler. River looked good, but as soon as sun was on the water it went very quiet for much of the day. The second the sun dipped beyond the trees there were a few knocks on the rod. Then quiet again. Would visit again, but get there earlier! Would suggest the parking details need an update as the area recommended has 'no parking' signs and cones that indicate the waterworks would rather anglers didn't!

Found swim choice difficult here, large amounts of the best aren’t really fishable due to bank side vegetation. Both fish good quality, the chub around 5 lb and the barbel 9 lb. expensive beat though.

Looked perfect but strangely hard going. A beautiful Wye afternoon with lovely light as the sun descended. Lots of Kingfishers, but fish not wanting to play ball. A couple of fish late afternoon saved the day

River in perfect trim good levels and a little colour, weather bright sunshine and warm. Started with a swim in the middle of the beat and had a small Chub first cast then nothing for an hour and a half. Moved upstream a few swims and quickly into fish and took five barbel in five casts !!??. Had four more spread through the afternoon. Pellet feeder with pellet hookbait took all the fish . A real red letter day.

River in good nick although barbel didn’t show. Plenty of chub of all size classes all taken on flavoured meat.
